Coach de la Motte enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Pirates. His primary responsibilities will working with outfielders and hitters, as well as assisting in recruiting.
Coach de la Motte is a graduate of Denair High School and CSU Stanislaus and lettered 4 years in baseball including the school’s first winning season. He taught History and coached at Turlock High School from 1975 to 2013 and was also the head coach at CSU Stanislaus for 6 seasons. He lives in Turlock with his wife Laura.
