MJC’s Own Glen Weber Signs With Northern Illinois University
Modesto Junior College is proud to introduce one of the newest success stories in our storied football tradition — tight end Glen Weber, a relentless competitor who turned raw potential into a Division I opportunity. Today, we celebrate his official signing with Northern Illinois University, a milestone years in the making.
For those who've watched him develop in our program, Weber's rise feels like a sunrise we knew was coming — steady, inevitable, and bright enough to change the day. His combination of physicality, stride power, and field awareness made him a built-in mismatch every time he lined up. Whether sealing the edge, bodying defenders up the seam, or turning soft zones into open runway, Weber expanded our offense and challenged defenses in ways they couldn't solve.
Now he takes that same toolkit to the Huskies.
"It's been a long time coming. Proud to say I have officially signed with Northern Illinois University! A dream come true! Thank you to all my coaches! More importantly, thank you Dad!"
His words carry the heartbeat of his journey — family support, coaching guidance, and the quiet grind between. At MJC, we witnessed those qualities daily. They shaped him into the player Northern Illinois saw fit to add to their future.
Weber leaves Modesto as more than a tight end. He leaves as an example — of development, of perseverance, and of what's possible when talent meets work ethic.
From all of us at Modesto Junior College Athletics:
Congratulations, Glen. You stretched the field here. Now go stretch the horizon.
