Modesto Junior College Football Announces Hiring of Jordan Porter as Wide Receivers Coach
Modesto Junior College is pleased to announce the hiring of Jordan Porter as the new Wide Receivers Coach for the Pirates football program.
Porter brings energy, leadership, and firsthand playing experience to the MJC coaching staff. The former MJC wide receiver appeared in 23 games over two seasons, highlighted by a standout 2019–20 season in which he earned All Valley Conference honors after recording 574 receiving yards, 5 touchdowns, and averaging over 20 yards per reception.
In addition to his playing background, Porter has spent the past five seasons coaching at his alma-mater Turlock High School, serving as the receivers coach and Offensive Coordinator, where he led one of the top offensive units in the Sac-Joaquin section.
"We're excited to welcome Coach Porter back to Modesto Junior College," said General Manager, Zach Hollis. "Jordan understands what it means to be a Pirate and brings a strong offensive mind and passion for developing student-athletes."
Porter shared his excitement about returning to MJC, stating, "It's an honor to come back to Modesto Junior College. I'm grateful for the opportunity to give back to the program that helped shape me and to help develop the next generation of Pirates."
The Pirates look forward to the impact Coach Porter will have as the program prepares for the upcoming season.
