MJC Men’s Swim Dominates Hartnell in Road Dual Meet
The Modesto Junior College men's swim team put together an impressive performance on the road Friday, February 6, earning a 199–165 victory over Hartnell College in a dual meet against the Panthers.
The Pirates controlled the meet from start to finish, winning 9 of the 11 events to secure the decisive win. MJC showcased depth and speed across all strokes, highlighted by multiple-event victories from several standout swimmers.
Ben Svoboda led the charge with a dominant four-event performance, capturing individual wins in the 100 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley while also contributing to victories in both relay events. Keanu Laolagi followed closely with three wins of his own, taking first place in the 100 Breaststroke and swimming key legs on both winning relays.
Additional individual victories came from Jacob Miller in the 500 Freestyle, Spencer Cox in the 200 Backstroke, and Cooper Cox in the 50 Freestyle, as the Pirates continued to stack points throughout the meet.
With the win, MJC continues to build momentum early in the season. The Pirates will have this upcoming weekend off before returning to competition on February 20, when they travel to Delta College for the Delta Invite.
