Bio
Coach Ebster joined the Modesto Junior College golf coaching staff in January 2025, immediately making an impact in his first semester as the men’s team advanced to the State Championship for the first time in eight years.
Before joining MJC, Coach Ebster spent two seasons at William Penn University in Iowa, where he gained valuable coaching experience at the collegiate level. During his second year, he was named Interim Head Coach for both the men’s and women’s golf programs while the head coach was on maternity leave. Under his leadership, the Women’s team captured two team wins in five events under Coach Ebster as the interim head coach and later on that year ended up winning the Heart of America Conference Championship, marking a highlight of his early coaching career.
As a player, Coach Ebster enjoyed a standout collegiate career. He began at UNLV, competing at the Division I level for two years and earning a Top-5 finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational. He then transferred to California State University, Stanislaus, where he continued to excel. During his time at CSU Stanislaus, he recorded:

He was also ranked #1 in the nation at the start of the Fall 2022 season, highlighting his talent and consistency at the collegiate level.
Beyond coaching and competing, Coach Ebster’s passion for golf extends to the professional game — he even caddied for his mother on the Senior LPGA Tour during his college summers, gaining firsthand experience in high-level tournament golf.
Known for his competitive spirit, strong leadership, and technical knowledge of the game, Coach Ebster continues to help elevate MJC golf to new heights.
