Kylie Nunes Wins 3C2A NorCal Heptathlon Championship!
Modesto Junior College's Kylie Nunes claimed victory in the 3C2A Northern California Combined Events Women's Heptathlon, setting a new personal record of 5102 points. She achieved personal bests in six of the seven events, winning five of them. Nunes' impressive performance included a 14.38 in the 100m hurdles, a 1.52m PR in high jump, a 10.15m PR in shot put, a 24.06 PR in the 200 meters, a 5.50m PR in long jump, and a 38.70m PR in javelin. She also finished fourth in the 800 meters with a PR of 2:31.26. Nunes will now advance to the 3C2A State Championships, set to take place on May 16th and 17th at the College of San Mateo.
Modesto's Julia Pedretti placed 4th overall in the Women's Heptathlon at the 3C2A Northern California Championships with a personal record of 3758 points. Also performing well was Kiana Kutch, who earned an impressive 14th place finish in the Women's Heptathlon with a personal record of 3005 points.
