MJC Women’s Water Polo Shines in Impressive Win
MJC Women's Water Polo Defeats Las Positas, 17–9
The Modesto Junior College Women's Water Polo team delivered a commanding performance against Las Positas College, securing a 17–9 victory in an exciting matchup.
Sophomore Maddyn Suess led the offensive charge with an incredible 8 goals, showcasing her scoring ability and setting the tone for the Pirates. Freshman Karolina Imfeld added 3 goals, playing a key role in the team's offensive rhythm. Sophomore Edith Hughes and freshman Mia Peterson chipped in with 2 goals each, while Juliana Parks and Taetum Arnett rounded out the scoring with 1 goal apiece.
The Pirates' defensive efforts were just as impressive. Taetum Arnett had a standout all-around performance, tallying 8 steals and 10 assists, proving to be a force on both ends of the pool.
It was a well-balanced team effort as MJC combined strong defense, unselfish playmaking, and relentless offensive pressure. The team's determination and chemistry shined throughout the game, earning them a well-deserved win.
