The MJC Women's Soccer team is making waves this season, proudly holding the #17 spot nationally and ranking an impressive #3 in the state. Their dominance on the field is clear, with a commanding 7-0 record, an incredible 44 goals scored, and only 2 goals allowed all season.
Leading the charge is the unstoppable Shay Roy-Williams, who currently tops the state with a staggering 11 goals and 27 points. Close behind, Eliza Roque shines brightly, tied for fourth in the state with 8 goals and 18 points, proving to be a vital offensive force.
The playmaking doesn't stop there — Janessa Ward, Lindsey Rose, and Shay Roy-Williams each boasted five assists, tying them for fifth in the state. Freshman standout Payton Abrew is also making her mark, contributing 4 assists to the team's dynamic attack.
On defense, the Pirates are rock solid. Goalkeeper Saryna Jaime, along with defenders Kloey Alcazar, Paulina Reyes, Bayli Brown, Alani Mullenix, and Jaylyn Ruiz have been a formidable wall, allowing only two goals all season.
The midfield is stacked with sophomore talent, featuring Lindsey Rose, Sienna Jones, Alexis Lopez, and Arianna Diaz — a powerhouse group fueling the team's momentum and creativity on the pitch.
With this kind of talent and teamwork, MJC Women's Soccer is a team to watch — dominating both state and national competition and hungry for more victories ahead!
